What the world of Aryn looks like as a whole isn't generally known. Maps covering the largest areas known are those of Konstan, the continent on which most plays.
Its lands are very diverse, from baren, lifeless plains to forests full of life, from sunny beaches to ice cold mountains. For an overview, the largest and most important places are listed below.
The Bragor
These flat lands are ravaged by dry winds from up north, making it impossible for most life to settle. Traversing it is considered an impossible act, as most if not all creatures will not survive either the wind or the heat. In the middle of these barren lands, far away from any coast or life, it is said to exist a totem, a monument relating to a by now forgotten past. Read more here.
Carling Island
This island is the largest of the continent. So large in fact, that the folk there don't like it linked to mainland at all. Though some will argue that is more due to the fact that they want to make their own regulations, in order to allow for the more immoral happenings going on at the island. Whatever the reason, this island is a safe haven for pirates and the like. Read more here.
Daron Woodlands
This area's main feature is its huge forest. Other than this little is known of the Daron Woods, except for freighting stories, warning you not to go there. Perhaps little is known because of these, but it could also be that the stories exist because little is known of the area.
Fretna Delta
In this area the wild river Fretna ends in a spectacular delta, and lay a large amount islands. The largest, Bartim, is a country on itself. The large amount of separated landmasses make it a very varied area, and nearly impossible to oversee.
Great Singhall Bay
Between the coast of Dagor and the Freighta Delta lays the Great Singhall Bay. Its coastline consists of hundreds upon hundreds of kilometres sand beach, in a near perfect arc. A very impressive sight.
The Houwnar Plateau
The Houwnar Plateau is a large area, lifted up to some two to three kilometres by the Tygan Mountains. This area has some great hills and a vast high forest, but knows a few low valleys as well. The mist, howling of wolves and impressive hill forests give an experience felt nowhere else, the feeling of the very essence of wild nature.
Kamara
Kamara is considered one of the most peaceful areas of the continent. It's beautiful beach and open forests make it a lovely place to be. This might also be the reason of the friendly and relaxed atmosphere one will experience when visiting the settlements there. Apart from this, there is little to be found here.
As one follows the coastline from its southern to northern end - a task taking weeks at least! - , the temperature and windspeed will gradually rise, and the amount of life gradually decrease.
Tygan Mountains
Crossing the heart of the continent there lays a large mountain range, from the Moonling Woods in the south to the Great Lake Headh in the northwest. Unlike most mountain ranges, this one is quite wide as well. Whole parts of the continent are lifted up several kilometres, chilling these areas down and drastically, and changing the flora and fauna. The Houwnar Plateau is the largest example.
